I believe I had made a very good choice of deciding to be an anonymous blogger and only revealing the existance of this blog to certain people that I trust.

It’s true that I did not instruct them to keep this blog a secret, neither did I tell them to refrain from revealing my identity. However, when you go under a pseudonym called Anonymously Secret and had carefully highlighted the dangers of the Internet, I assume it is evident that I do not want many people knowing about this site. At least, that was what I thought…

What happened last week:

I was having recess in the canteen with my friends and was talking cheerfully about a teacher of ours. Across the table, sat one of my classmates and she was not oblivious to our conversation it seems. We were not completely unaware of her presence too. Suddenly the classmate sitting across leant in and said, “Yeah, I hate her too. I read about her in your blog…” What she said after that, I did not hear because in my mind I had difficulty processing the “…in your blog…” part.

Yesterday:

I was just about to take my seat in the Physics lab but I was suddenly surprised by a voice calling my name followed by some murmurs. I glanced back and gave the girl that called my name a dumb look. She repeated, ”[Insert my name here], I …ke your …ob.” I was still staring at her dumbfoundedly as she repeated what she said.
Apparently Lil had no troubles at all hearing what she said, “She said she read your blog.”
I replied, “What? Who!?”

“Her,” Lil nudges over to the girl staring at me.
“WHAT!?! I heard ‘I like your job’!!”
She laughed it away and said, “It was HOT.”

Okay. So I wasn’t sure which part of my blog is ‘hot’ but I assume she was talking about the post on Paris Hilton’s breast implants.

So now I must be careful of what I say because more and more people whom I know will be reading.

So, where am I suppose to say all the things I know damn right I can’t say in real life? When do I use the profane and vulgar words?

Sheesh! I’m suppose to be anonymous, dammit!

Someone must have told them about your blog because how would anyone know to look for one if they didn’t hear about it from someone? Especially when you’re not using your real name.

Yes I agree with you Joy! Some people are just so dense and disrespectful.

But the damage is done.

Someone leaked out the info for sure. You’re awesome the way you are and if they don’t like it then they don’t have to. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Anonymously Secret - 10 July 2009

Thank you Eric. Of course I wouldn’t change a thing. If they can’t deal with all the possible insults I’ll be throwing at them, well… they’ll just have to get over it!

I understand.. totally. I’ve told a few people about mine and pray that it doesn’t get revealed to the wrong people..
You can always play naive…
Your writing is great and humor ’spot on’ so you’ll have to find a way to continue. And, shame on whoever leaked!!! SHAME.

Anonymously Secret - 10 July 2009

Yup, naivety suits me better. I could just look at them and go,”Sorry, I think you have the wrong person. Oh and… can you please stop with your pathetic attempt to stalk me?”

(I’m so mean, I know! I’m still PMS-ing btw.)

Yes, someone let the cat out of the bag. That’s too bad. Therein lies the danger of sharing secrets. I’m sorry to hear this, but do keep on keeping on. You have a fun dealio going on here.
best, Alan

That’s rather disturbing. That might mean that someone who knows your name and knows about your blog spread the word. Boo. Keep writing!

I decided to keep my blog under a fake name too, it makes it allot easier to be honest. Still keep up the writing, if they are friends of friends it should not be a problem. I would go with the fake naivety, or say something like “That is not my blog, I mean I don’t even like that blog” act insulted “I would not say negative things about teachers” , it would be funny cause they would not know how to react and would be confused. Or you could do what I do, blog and also keep a journal like in a note book, so you can write stuff for a general audience, and some stuff just for yourself.
